Researching for the right puppy.

If you have been dreaming about bringing home your own Swedish Vallhund puppy, we might be able to bring that dream come true. Barahwolfe has been sending out little baby Viking dogs to kiwi families for 23 years.

Puppies come to you or may be collected from 8 weeks of age.They will be well handled and raised indoors in a smoke free home. Puppies are bonnie, healthy, wormed, weaned and shampoo fresh.
Included:

• First Vaccination complete,
• Pedigree registration,
• A microchip & health clearance booklet.
• A desexing agreement.
• Basic first weeks pet medical insurance.
• Ongoing breeder support

We are operating a short wait list for people wanting a puppy in due mid 2026. 
Next steps are to write to us and describe a little about what kind of a life you can offer a dog. Please detail such things as if you have a fully fenced property, have permission to have a dog from your landlord or own your own home. How much you are home or away from home during the work week, also previous dog ownership experience. There are no right or wrong answers, we seek to match the right puppy to your family – if the breed proves to be a good fit for you and your lifestyle.

 A puppy from Barahwolfe as described above through 2026 is $3,000.This does not include costs associated with collection, or flights to your nearest airport.  Other costs to consider when thinking about buying a puppy are recommended pet insurance, council registration and food/care expenses.

We are agents for Four Paws pet transport in Dunedin and can arrange Air NZ domestic flights.
Note: We do not send baby puppies on road-trip transporters.
